Overall in the online world, exists a community of people online and provides the right tools to fulfil their role, whether they are professors, students, teaching assistants, course administrators, or class secretaries. The system creates an online community of faculty, students, staff, and alumni at PSED and provides a mechanism for interaction and collaboration between members of this community.

Over the past decade, you have witnessed the continuous information revolution that the Internet is continuing. You have learned to use the Internet for more efficient communication and information everywhere. These benefits allow you to bring many aspects of your life online. You have internet connections in media and publishing, websites, finance, commerce, and e-commerce. But you haven’t seen the big impact of the internet on education. Indeed, people have developed services that host online classes or contribute to traditional classroom experiences, and many courses have their websites to distribute classroom materials and announcements. However, you don’t have a centralized and integrated system for online education that can be expanded and adapted for use in institutions and classes taught by individuals.

The purpose of the Online Education System is to provide a variety of new abilities that enhance the traditional classroom experience. Implementing the advantages of the Internet for teaching and learning, this system helps faculty perform their tasks more effectively and enhance students’ learning experiences by making a variety of resources more accessible. As a result, this user community can interact remotely with other users, gain asynchronous access to information and manage their individual roles/contributions as community members. Does that translate into the educational application of this system? Students can get remote help from the faculty during working hours online. When teaching assistants are not available, they can share information and help each other answer their questions. Instructors can collaboratively build course materials and disseminate them through central mechanisms. Instead of collecting student notes from many teaching assistants, each kept their records in different ways; professors have instant access to all student data in one format operated by a single database. To conclude, all users of the education system would have to access a reliable archive of all related news, announcements, and events.

Web-based course management and delivery system that is called “Command” is developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with industry partners such as Intel, IBM, and Lotus. As a result, Command is very heavy in the management and presentation of course information but does not provide sufficient functionality for collaboration. This system has poor usability as it is not user-oriented. Furthermore, the system does not offer adequate competencies for teachers, lecturers to develop course materials, manage course staff, and track user statistics. In short, Command is a collection of what we currently have as the course home page, in one place, but without integration/communication between them. The system is not user-centric, that is, it uses the opportunity to know the identity of the user and view information appropriate to his role.

Learning Whiteboard is an application for online teaching, learning, community development, and knowledge sharing. It has the system closest to what our project is trying to achieve. In addition to the ability to manage lectures and develop course materials online, it provides a variety of tools for collaboration and synchronous and asynchronous communication. Real-time streaming media partnership tools include bulletin boards, bulletin boards, email, and audio/visual media files. Simultaneous collaboration tools include chat rooms and virtual whiteboards. Blackboard.com also provides other functions such as a calendar for time management and an electronic whiteboard for taking notes.

Finally, this system is a component of education elements that can be accepted and modified as a single web service by any institution or person. Someone who wants to host a site that offers lessons on Musical Instrument Digital Interface composition can install the training module and run their web service. This is different from the Blackboard.com model because each class now operates under its service, not outside the standard Blackboard.com service. Especially for universities, colleges, and academic departments, the establishment of the system as a single service has an important benefit due to its ability to modify and fully integrate into the existing university system.
